We are seeking to recruit a full /part time pharmacist to join our dynamic team at the Outpatient Pharmacy Department (UHS Pharmacy Ltd) at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.�

Working within an Outpatients Pharmacy at a busy general hospital is hugely rewarding and we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and passionate pharmacist to join our expanding, uniquely friendly and dynamic team.�

This post would suit an individual with a hospital pharmacy background, or with community pharmacy experience wishing to make a change into the hospital environment.

Working for our organisation

UPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. �The Pharmacy, located in the main foyer of the hospital, provides a range of over-the-counter medicines and products, as well as pharmacy services for hospital staff, outpatients and visitors.

The Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday (09:00 ? 18:00) and Saturday mornings (09:00 ? 13:00). Working hours are scheduled to meet the needs of the business on a rota basis over the 6 days.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

As a GPhC registered Pharmacist, part of your role will include:

? � �Clinical screening and accuracy checking of medication prescribed to the patients
? � �Integral in providing a positive experience for all patients and staff visiting the pharmacy
? � �Offering advice on dosages, side effects and other aspects of drug interaction
? � �Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all medications processed through the pharmacy
? � �Delivering community healthcare services such as prescription collection and delivery
? � �Working with the team to maintain a clean, professional and patient-friendly workplace
? � �Manage, supervise and train pharmacy support staff
? � �Comply with the professional and legal requirements and standards and policies of UHS Pharmacy Ltd
? � �Keep up to date with current pharmacy practice, new drugs and their uses
